Jennifer Lawrence is the new face of DiorFashion & Lifestyle
Jennifer will front the label’s Miss Dior handbag campaign, replacing Mila Kunis, due to launch in magazine in the spring of 2013.
She will follow in the footsteps of Dior ambassadors Charlize Theron, Marion Cotillard and Natalie Portman. A hugely successful year has led to 22-year-old’s first collaboration with a luxury fashion house. While fashion may not be particularly important to Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer’s fashion credentials are accumulating fast – she graces the cover of British Vogue next month and was photographed for US Vogue’s September issue.
Jennifer also attended Raf Simons’ Dior debut in July and couldn’t be more thrilled to wear his designs. “It is such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion,” she told WWD.
“I’m very excited at the idea of working with Dior and wearing Raf Simons’ new creations. His debut ready-to-wear and haute couture have distilled all the glamour of Dior into the modern era.”
Dior creative director Raf Simons said: “Like everyone else, I first discovered Jennifer Lawrence in the roles she played in action movies. I was, of course, struck by her incredible on-screen presence in these blockbuster films, but also impressed by her powerful interpretations of subtler more rounded characters. Her youth and her classic beauty, but also her force of character and the complexity she’s capable of embodying at such a young age are, for me, both unique and very moving.”
