Ciate unveils the corrupted neon manicure
With the neon colour palette being a huge influence during London Fashion Week, Ciate, as always, are bang on trend with their soon to be released collection, the corrupted neon manicure.
Capturing all that’s hot right now and perfect for long, hot summer nights spent dancing till dawn! If you aim to be a head turner, and the thought of blending into the background as a wallflower sends shivers down your spine, then make every second count − even those spent in darkness. The corrupted neon manicure cleverly glows under UV light, transforming nails into the epitome of clubland chic.
Creating this statement look couldn’t be easier: file your nails into the desired shape − we think this bold look marries perfectly with the ‘point nail’ − then soak your fingers in warm water for a few minutes, remove and dry thoroughly. Take an orange stick and gently ease the cuticles back, creating a larger surface area on the nail plate and giving the effect of a longer nail. Preparation is key when it comes to manicure longevity, so apply a layer of base coat, select your neon shade of Paint Pots polish and apply two thin coats to each nail. Then, whilst still tacky, sprinkle on a covering of the coordinating neon glitter to each nail or just the ring finger. Seal the deal with the pièce de résistance, the corrupted neon top coat, then admire your handiwork and watch as your talons are transformed from daytime to glowing neon under UV light.
Priced at £25 for all that you need to achieve this statement look, available in Selfridges from June.
