It excitingly appears that the rumours ruling the fashion world at the moment are true. Rita Ora is the new face of Madonna’s label Material Girl. Following the footsteps of Kelly Osborne and Georgia Jagger, Miss Ora will no doubt excel in promoting the brand’s diverse, edgy look.
Madonna has said: “Rita is a talented beauty but what really drew us to her is the confidence she oozes through her music and her unique sense of style. On stage or off, in photos or on the street – she’s a magnet! This is what the Material Girl brand is all about!” Here at The Upcoming we could not agree more with what the “Like a Virgin” star has said about Rita Ora. With Ora’s music oozing funkiness, diversity and fun, it is no doubt that her music mirrors the Material Girl style.
Unfortunately all you fashionistas out there are going to have to wait until July to see the completed fall 2013 ad campaign, and boy should you all be on the edge of your seats excited! With Madonna and Lourdes both being recognised through their extremes in fashion, including fishnet tights and smudged eye make-up, we are sure that a rock ‘n’ roll look will be transmitted in this collection. In sharing the news that she is the face of the brand, Rita tweeted: “Joining forces with Madonna and Lola. It’s official Ritabots – I’m the new face of Material Girl!”
So the excitement brews as to what Material Girl’s new image is going to convey. Will we get a hint of the 80s with a twist of modernity? Or will we experience some crazy 60s styles? Well, all will be revealed in fall 2013; brace yourselves!
