Street wear brand Gustostore opens pop-up store
A young, vibrant and urban label, Gustostore, had held its pop-up store in Camden Collective to celebrate the launch of its ever-growing success. With live music, a trendy environment, customers and an upbeat vibe, Gusto had definitely made its mark in Camden and it has certainly come back with a vengeance.
Opened in March 2012 by a young and ambitious entrepreneur, the clothing label has been running successfully online and across pop-stores. It had sold over 1000 units to Xplicit Clothing Ltd in 2012 that marked one of its first achievements.
Highly inspired by street wear and hip-hop style, the label is determined to stay away from the lack of individuality and false ideology of ignorance, therefore every item is injected with a sense of uniqueness.
Marked with an iconic logo that was influenced by Mighty Ducks, its founder, Deep Gill, has ensured that all clothing is “swag slaying” and follows its own individual style with a mixture of cartoons, comics and soul/pop culture.
Targeted at people who want to express themselves and who are pursuing individuality, Gusto has been recognised throughout the UK by well-known artists who have promoted the brand during performances and in music videos.
The most popular piece has been the T-Jump, which is a half sleeve dashiki style jumper. Sleeves are hand stitched, which makes it a high quality fashion statement. With a comic, urban and edgy style, the items are bright and colourful which makes it big and eye catching.
Deep Gill has made it clear that his brand stands strongly for individuality, and this is evident in his unique choice of prints and colours. He hopes to open his own retail store very soon, but for the time being he stocks clothes on his website and in pop-up stores. Starting prices begin from an affordable £15 and it specialises in T-shirts, jumpers, bags and beanies.
