LFW – Daks S/S 2014 collection
Filippo Scuffi has studied at both Harvard and FIT and has worked with some of the industry’s finest including Donna Karan, Celine, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren. His education and experience has been both fruitful and versatile, eventually leading him to his career at Daks in 2005. Due to his great success with the company, he was named creative director in 2010 for both menswear and womenswear collections.
For their spring/summer 2014 collection, Daks presented us with a classically neutral colour palette, accented with their heritage nude, red, black and white plaid. The look mainly consisted of sharp-cut trousers and leather tube tops and chunky backless sweaters paired with some wide-legs. The pale pink trend was present, as it has been in so many of the shows this season. There was a cape thrown in there that seemed like an after-thought, and over-all, Daks delivered a rather predictable collection.
