An exciting and innovative collaboration has been unveiled: Topshop and adidas Originals. The high-street powerhouse has designed a 20-piece capsule collection of sporty chic attire to ease us into the new season – and even the gym! Expect performance ready street wear designed with a catwalk-approved twist.
The exclusive summer collaboration merges seamlessly with fashion’s current sport luxe obsession, following the likes of Riccardo Tisci and Chanel recently launching remakes of trainers. The range effortlessly infuses sportswear with femininity, creating pieces that can be worn for both style and fitness.
The Topshop X adidas Originals range reworks classic items from the sportswear brand’s extensive archive, resulting in everything you need for a fashionable-yet-functional wardrobe. Styles will include tailored jogging bottoms featuring adidas’ signature triple stripe, athletic shorts with floral detailing, slouchy cotton vest tops and sweatshirts adorned with an updated logo inspired by London landmarks. Topshop has also redesigned adidas footwear favourites Superstar, Tech Super and Attitude with brand new leather and print combinations.
With only tasters of the range released, we nonetheless notice a familiar face modelling the collection: Charlotte Wiggins, who is the star of Topshop’s current spring/summer campaign. The adapted adidas logo is also revealed, overlaying soft fabrics produced in attractive, muted shades of salmon and grey. We can’t wait to see more!
Topshop’s collaborations are always seriously sought after, so this collection will no doubt be a fast sell-out. See you at the start line.
