UK fashion online retailer, Boohoo has announced a new collaboration with singer, Charli XCX.
Boohoo are said to be more than happy with the merger and it is a big step forward for the brand as Charli is not only a household name in music but in fashion too. Expressing their excitement for the collaboration, Carol Kane and Mahmud Kamani, joint CEOs at Boohoo, said the pop star is a “perfect fit” for the brand.
“The synergy between music and fashion grows stronger daily and at Boohoo.com; we are excited to be able to help further bridge this gap and bring some amazing fashion to our customers at very affordable prices.”
Inspired by the singer’s 90s style, Boohoo said: “Charli will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range fans and customers alike will love”.
With a release date of 26th October, the collaboration with Boohoo will see Charli XCX’s three lines and 20-piece collection include a colourful range of dresses, knitwear, tops and other apparel over an 18-month period.
Known for her quirky red carpet looks and unique style, Charli is more than excited for the release of her first fashion line, saying: “I had so much fun designing pieces for Boohoo’s holiday collection. I can’t wait to get it out there and wear it myself. It’s a fun, bold and electrifying collection and I hope everyone loves it.”
