Libertine autumn/winter 2017 collection catwalk show for NYFW
The Libertine autumn/winter 2017 collection was shouting colours and words. From capes and boots, to bags and nails, designs were a coherent symphony of colours expressing the theme “love” in the most fun way possible.
This season, blue, red and yellow were key shades present on ruffled, embroidered and sequinned garments. Designs turned the runway show into a warm and lively carnival full of love, just the day before Valentine’s Day.
A red ruffled dress was printed with blue, white, and red geometric tile boxes as well as red and blue roses. Attached with a bow, the ruffled dress, made in an airy fabric, gave a smart flow in every movement.
Creativity on men’s garments was comparable to women’s. One stand collar long coat was embroidered with “Libertine” in a fan shape where tassels draped. Paired with firefighter-like cargo pants, the outfit broke the conventional boundary of plain menswear by giving a touch of creativity.
Pop art letters puzzled on this set piece of dress shirt, trousers, and wide sleeve coat, shouting out bold messages on wide black and white stripes. Call it a coincidence or not, the collection showcased a black tote bag printed with “LOVE”.
