Break up your Christmas shopping with a trip to one of these brilliant exhibitions in London. Whether you’re looking for a family experience or a show to get you thinking, we’ve got something for everyone.

Beyond Caravaggio at the National Gallery

Be blown away by some of the most brilliant masterpieces ever painted at the National Gallery’s blockbuster Caravaggio show. Although there are actually only a few works by the artist included, they’re totally stunning. Perfect for stretching your brain cells a bit over the festive period.

Beyond Caravaggio is at the National Gallery until 15th January 2017, for further information or to book visit here.

Robert Rauschenberg at Tate Modern

If you’re looking for something a bit off the wall, try Robert Rauschenberg. This innovative idol of conceptual art produced iconic work throughout his six-decade career. Discover it at the Tate this Christmas – highlights include his 1955-59 work Monogram, which consists of a stuffed goat inside a car tyre.

Robert Rauschenberg is at Tate Modern until 2nd April 2017, for further information or to book visit here.

Adventures in Moominland at Southbank Centre

A delight for children and adults alike, this immersive exhibition takes groups of visitors on an adventure through the land of the Moomins. As well as fun sound effects and playful snow scenes, there are original drawings by Moomin-creator Tove Jansson and a brilliant voice-over by Sandi Toksvig.

Adventures in Moominland is at Southbank Centre until 23rd April 2017, for further information or to book visit here.

The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection at Tate Modern

Tate Modern’s exhibition programme has been particularly impressive this year, and this photography show is no exception. Although it might seem gimmicky to draw on the collection of such a famous star, Sir Elton’s collection is full of extraordinary works, carefully curated to tell the story of early 20th-century photography.

The Radical Eye is at Tate Modern until 7th May 2017, for further information or to book visit here.

South Africa: The Art of a Nation at the British Museum

Escape the grey skies of London in this exhibition about sunny South Africa and its unique history and visual culture. The exhibition includes an inspiring range of objects from a pebble resembling a human face, collected as an art object around three million years ago, to works of contemporary South African art exploring the nation’s identity.

South Africa: The Art of a Nation is at the British Museum until 26th February 2017, for further information or to book visit here.
