With the rise of androgyny being seen more and more in streetwear and fashion trends, the womenswear clothing label Domino Club has it spot on. Inspired by a masculine approach to dressing, with a mix of British streetwear and American Hollywood glamour, the label has a very clear, sleek-but-trendy look.

In their own words, Domino Club “sets out to redefine what it is to be feminine” and they certainly do that. With icons such as Vogue-era Madonna and Harlem Renaissance figure Josephine Baker, Domino Club’s newest collection is a dress-to-kill sensation. Key pieces include sheer button-up shirts that have two-tone, contrasting panels; our favourites are the black shirt dress with a white strip down the front, which echoes the masculine look of a tuxedo, or the contrasting white shirt with black panels, all finished off with sweet red buttons to add punches of colour.

Taking accents of style from subcultures such as 1950s teddy girls, who had androgynous style down to a T, other shirts are cropped with a dipped hem in sheer leopard print or bold tartan and smart button-up collars. The high-waisted cigarette pants are a particularly strong piece; the black and beige paisley print is eye-catching whilst the cut is razor sharp. High-waisted tap shorts also play a big role, coming in muted tones of lilac and mustard that are contrasted perfectly with a leopard print waistband.
