The up-and-coming: Lisa Gibson

Small town girl Lisa Gibson from Staffordshire is a fashion and textiles graduate from Bournemouth University. She started to attract some attention during her final year for her first collection titled Abstract Nature, showing her attachment to the beauty within nature. The well-pieced collection was selected to be shown at Graduate Fashion Week in Earls Court London and received great praise, which led on to other shows that year. 

Although her first collection set the style and standard of her design skills, it is her 2013 spring/summer collection that illustrates the pure elegance and wearable sophistication to her designs. Centred around a soft, rose tinted palette, this collection features delicate silks and detailed beading, which is drawn together by simple yet feminine silhouettes. This collection is a seamless continuation from her autumn/winter designs, which were just as stylish and classy in both textiles and shape. 

To add to her previous accomplishments, Lisa Gibson has recently been a finalist in the Midlands Fashion Designer Awards with her spring/summer 2013 collection.
