Blissfully bathed and beautified bodies

With every inch of our bodies tucked away beneath the thermals, we often forget that it requires some TLC! Follow our guide to creating an “at-home spa” experience and ensure that by the time your summer holiday arrives, you’ll be happily shedding the layers and donning your bikini.

A true body pamper session would not be complete without a long soak in a hot bath. A bath without products is like champagne without the fizz – completely pointless. Choosing one of our top tub treats is an absolute must.image

Lush Mumkin Bubble Bar, £2.75

Crumbled under a running tap, not only does The Mumkin create the most wonderful zingy and uplifting lemon aroma, but it also leaves the bath water pink and the tub full of bubbles. A bath fit for a princess!2

Dermalogica Hydro Active Mineral Salts, £24

This multi-purpose product brings the spa to your bathroom. Sprinkle a small handful of the mineral salts under warm running water to release soothing essential oils of sandalwood and lavender. To move the pampering experience to the next level, take a handful of the salts and massage over the body, sloughing off dead skin cells, whilst warming the body and uplifting the senses. Combine with Dermalogica Stress Relief Treatment Oil (£16.50) for a smoother exfoliation, to treat aching muscles and wash away the stresses of the day. The water soluble oil can also be used as a bath oil, turning the water into a milky and highly moisturising treat for dry, stressed skin. If you’re suffering from a headache, take a few drops and massage into the temples to relieve and maximise your relaxation.

Now that you’re soaked and soothed, it’s time to moisturise. Don’t just save this treat for your “at-home spa”, enjoy moisturising your body every day, post-bath or shower. Picture 5799

Ren Wild Yam Omega 7 Body Repair Lotion, £35

A body cream formulated with repair and firming in mind – perfect for mature and dry skins alike. Containing phytohormones from wild yam to maximise hydration and phytosteroids to encourage collagen production, this cream boosts skin elasticity and firmness. This feather light lotion is a joy to apply; massage into the body until absorbed, concentrating on particularly dry areas.4

Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream, £37

So much more than just a moisturiser, this cream contains hydroxy and lactic acid to naturally lift away dead skin cells, and green tea extract to soothe and soften the skin. Flooding even the driest of skins with a surge of moisture, in a light and easily absorbed formulation, this certainly ticks all of the boxes. To further your stress relief treatment, add a few drops of Stress Relief Treatment Oil to your cream.

Now there’s no excuse to avoid the bikini come summertime, and even the glorious weather couldn’t stop us from revealing our beautified bodies!
