This year, iconic eyewear and accessories brand Police is celebrating 30 years of style. Known best for their gorgeous range of sunglasses and those blue lenses, which were one of the 90s’ biggest trends, Police have launched an exclusive collection to mark their landmark anniversary.

The collection will be a range of the brand’s 80s-esque aviator style frames with unique and sophisticated detail. The glasses will be available with gold or silver plated frames, leather detailing and marked with the iconic winged Police logo. The design has been chosen as a classic and timeless style, which epitomises the brand.

To accompany the frames, a commemorative book Look Beyond will be released, featuring a collection of artists’ photographs looking back over the past 30 years of the brand. The book is based on an idea by Michele Pecchioli and is the work of one of the great names in Italian photography, Giovanni Gastel.

Portraits of personalities from the worlds of showbiz, music, sport and art depicts what it means to look beyond, appreciating our surroundings and understanding ourselves. Each image is coupled with a quote from the sitter describing what the concept of looking beyond means to them.

The collection has been released to not only celebrate Police’s anniversary, but also in support of charity Doctors Without Borders. Part of the proceeds from both the sunglasses range and the book will be donated to the charity to help fund treatments based on ready-to-use therapeutic foods for at least 600 malnourished children.

The collection of aviators will be available from Harvey Nichols for £240 from April 2013.
