Surgery Group’s S/S 2014 press day at the beautiful St Pancras Renaissance

Surgery Group’s S/S 2014 press day at the beautiful St Pancras Renaissance

Yesterday The Upcoming spent the afternoon in the very swanky St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, for Surgery’s press day, getting a sneak peak at what S/S 2014 will hold for us. The beautiful Royale Suite, in the old St Pancras station, was filled with fashion goodies from some of our favourite brands including Paul’s Boutique, Wrangler, Hudson, Oliver Spencer and Lacoste.

Charlie JadeA range of women’s wear, men’s wear, accessories and footwear filled the two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room and a large living area. It was a dream apartment filled with everything your wardrobe could ever need for next season. With so many labels to cover, we will give you a taste of what you can expect for S/S 2014 from some of our favourite collections and a couple of brands you might not know about, yet.

GivenchyCharlie Jade is already a hugely successful brand in the US, with over 700 stores including concessions in Bloomingdales. The women’s wear brand is now hopping over the Atlantic to dress Europe in its collection of feminine and playful shorts, playsuits, dresses, jumpsuits and blouses in vibrant prints. S/S 2014 is a collection of beautiful silks in colourful patterns includes geometric monochrome designs, neon colours in ikat prints and block brights. LacosteFamous sports brand Lacoste is branching into the fashion world with their new collection Lacoste Essential Design (LED). S/S 2014 is the beginning of the LED project that will release a series of avant-garde films expressing the inspiration behind the S/S 2014 collection, in a new way of expressing the brand’s creative freedom. Lacoste’s footwear has moved away from the much loved Marcel Cup tennis shoes, to include stylish Derby and loafer shapes in supple leather and hand-crafted weave in men’s wear.

SumarieAlthough summer seems a long way off, when swimwear shopping it’s always nice to find something a little special. Swimwear brand Sumarie is inspired by classic vintage designs with an emphasis on bespoke tailoring to flatter any figure. The brand uses luxurious fabrics in cut out, backless and high-wasted bikinis in different monochrome patterns for S/S 2014. Sumarie also provide cover-ups, designed to complement their swimwear, which include chic wide leg trousers as well as kaftans and blouses.
