The Hunt: fashion app is launched in the UK
The Hunt, an app designed for all of our fashion needs and wants, just got a whole lot easier as it has recently launched in the UK. Boasting three million users state-side, it already has 150,000 users in the UK too. So, you’re probably wondering how it all works, right?
Well, the app allows users to post a picture of an item they see, pretty much anywhere, along with their size and budget. From there, the community will help them to track down the item or find similar alternatives, making the app ideal for finding items of clothing worn by someone walking down the street, celebrities or maybe something seen in pictures in magazines. Current statistics also show an impressive 50-60% of “hunts” are solved within 24 hours, and the search results generate around two million clicks a month on to third party retailer websites.
To celebrate the launch of the app in the UK, The Hunt hosted an exclusive launch party at Disco Soho in London. Guests included an abundance of fashion bloggers along with brand ambassador and Made in Chelsea star, Rosie Fortescue.
When talking about The Hunt, Tim Weingarten, CEO and co-founder of the app said: “The Hunt is the first solution to shoppers’ deep-rooted frustration in trying to find exactly what they’re looking for, faster. If you have a photo of a dress you really like but can’t find, chances are our community of like-minded shoppers will have a suggestion for you, probably within a day. It’s like having a whole team of personal shoppers and stylists at your fingertips, wherever you are.”
The app is currently only available for iPhones but will be extended to Android devices in the next couple of weeks, so keep a look out!
