Sophia Webster launches bridal collection

Sophia Webster launches bridal collection

The queen of quirky footwear has created a range for all those set to tie the knot and it is as dreamy and fairy tale-like as one might expect.

The former design assistant of fellow shoe creator Nicholas Kirkwood, Webster has won countless awards for her eccentric designs and brilliantly vibrant footwear including Condé Nast Footwear Emerging Designer of the Year, New Gen award by the British Fashion Council and British Fashion award for Emerging Accessories Designer in 2013.

Spring/summer 2014 saw the creation of Webster’s now infamous Butterfly collection heavily featuring her iconic Chiara shoe which has since made an appearance in every footwear range she has designed, including her latest bridal selection – a glorious mix of snow-white classics and quirky heels for the modern bride.

The stunning Chiara shoe makes an appearance in the form of an ice blue sandal with the magnificent wings and silver detailing. For the sophisticated bride Webster has designed a simple yet stylish pair of satin pumps available in pale blue, classic ivory and a bold red. But it wouldn’t be a Sophia Webster design without an edge; both the white and blue pairs have a sparkling crystal heel with the red offering a more romantic feel featuring a shiny heart bead heel.

For the more unconventional bride Sophia Webster has added her very own pair of wedding heels: a soft pink, strappy sandal with a glitzy stiletto heel that she wore on her special day. Another unconventional style is the ivory peep toe with caged toe and a cute pompom on the tip, a charming addition to any ensemble.

Nearly all of the heels from the bridal range have “Wifey for lifey” printed on the sole, the exception being the hot red pumps, a wonderful quirk that will be a cute reminder of your magical day.

The bridal collection doesn’t stop with footwear Webster has also created two super cute slogan clutches in the shape of speech bubbles; one reads “Happily ever after” in a fantastical silver font, whilst the other reads “The boy is mine” in pink bubble writing.

Prices range from £340 to £575, a standard price for a pair of Sophia Webster heels and when it comes to your big day, only the best will do.
