Snowden: Joseph Gordon-Levitt interview

Telling the tale of one of the most infamous whistleblowers in recent history, Joseph Gordon Levitt takes on the role of Edward Snowden in Oliver Stone’s latest film, Snowden (read our review here). The feature depicts the series of events that led Snowden, the fierce military patriot, to hand over vast quantities of information about the USA’s mass surveillance programme to a Guardian journalist in 2013.

The Upcoming spoke to Joseph Gordon-Levitt about what Snowden’s legacy will be, why he donated his earnings for the film to the ACLU and whether or not he now obscures the webcam on his laptop.
