Why “write my paper for me” is becoming a common request for students

Why “write my paper for me” is becoming a common request for students

Cheating is bad; it’s as clear as daylight. Be it spousal cheating or academic cheating, the feeling of being fooled is similarly bitter. Thus, it’s not surprising that students caught on cheating are usually expelled from academic institutions and have very foggy perspectives as to their further higher education. This is how professors react to students’ use of paper writing help:

  • “I feel harrowing disappointment once I discover cheating with essays. I am not a devil – students can turn to me when they don’t understand the task or have some doubts. But they go buy those essays instead,” – Mrs Collins, a psychology professor.
  • “We teach students to use their heads, not their purses in writing. Once they buy essays and pretend to be studying, they betray the very essence of education,” – Mr Gardner, a professor of economics.
  • “I can’t get it, frankly speaking. Pay so much money for a paper. Oh gosh, why did you pay for the college then?” – Mr Darrel, a professor of law.

These commentaries reflect the very nature of using academic assistance. When students go online and search terms like “write my paper”, they in fact ask others to study for them, which is unethical and non-productive. But according to the estimates of average paper writing service, the business revenue growth per year constitutes a minimum 20%, while the 2019 forecasts estimate that number to grow by the overwhelming 35%. This means that whatever the risk, students are going to continue using these writing services even more. And here’s the question: it’s risky, expensive, and doubtful. Why do students do that? How do they justify such decisions?

I want better grades

Melinda, a client of WriteMyPaper4Me, shared her reasons for ordering research paper: “My mother told me since I was young that with a low GPA, I will end as a genitor. So, I order paper writing help as soon as I doubt my skill in some subject, just in case. I don’t want to spoil my entire life with that research paper.”

The situation is commonplace in countries like the USA where the GPA is topmost. Failing some essays or project works will lower the GPA, and so the chances to get to a better higher educational establishment, to get hired to a premium-level job, etc. Parents instil the fear of low grades in children since early school, so many of them resort to cheating to create a better educational portfolio.

I know the subject but can’t write

Students coming from different parts of the world wish to be evaluated by their knowledge, not technical writing skills in English. Many of them are great doctors, nurses, economists, and lawyers. They want to get vital knowledge and get back to their country and apply it, why then bother about polishing their command of English? For many foreign students, it’s only a waste of time they can otherwise spend on studies of the subject: engineering, medicine, law.

I have no time for this

Jess, who outsourced her dissertation, explained her decision not to complete writing on her own, “I have two kids and a husband, a house to keep clean, and a full-time job. I wished a promotion to the RN status at my hospital, and they said I had to study for that. I know every nut and bolt of the profession, working for 13 years as a nurse. But I need that dissertation for RN, so I paid for it and got the job.”

Such a situation is as old as the hills. In the USA, many professions require lifelong learning. So, even if you are 45 years old, have three kids and a dog, you will still have to study at nights and weekends to get that promotion.

Can the purchase of academic essays ever be justified?

As cases discussed above show, in some situations, students have no other way out, and doing so remains on their own heads unless they get caught. But when making such a decision, keep in mind that it may be illegal, and if the truth comes out, bang goes to your diploma, career, and reputation.
