Best 5G smartphones

Smartphones have become an essential in our everyday lives, from work to communication and keeping up with our friends. We have access to any information we could possibly want in our pockets, and the models are constantly improving. With the introduction of 5G, the possibilities of connection are expanding even more, and companies such as OnePlus, Samsung and TCL are bringing us some of the best phones available on the market. If you decide to enter the next generation of speed and connectedness, here are five models available to buy now.

  1. Oneplus 7 PRO 5G

This sleek design, the OnePLus 7 Pro 5G, is almost identical to the standard 4G-touting OnePlus 7 Pro, the only change being its ability to use the newer network. This is perfect for those who love the design of the previous model and just want an opportunity to use 5G. The design has the same triple rear camera, 6.67-inch display and 4,000mAh battery life.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

This is one for the photography lovers, as in addition to its 5G capability, the Samsung Galaxy S20 ULTRA boasts a quad-lens rear camera with 100x digital zoom and a sharper 10x hybrid optical zoom. It also has 16GB of RAM, compared to the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G’s maximum of 12GB. However, one setback is the price, as it’s one of the more expensive 5G phones on the market.

  1. Samsung Galazy S20 5G

This is like the ultra but without the ultra price tag. The S20 5G’s stunning AMOLED screen with smooth 120Hz refresh rate makes for a really fantastic viewing. Of course, it’s 5G capable and has also just won the much-desired Best 5G Phone award at the T3 Awards 2020. The camera also boasts lots of great features and different shooting modes.

  1. TCL 10 5G

The TCL 10 5G has been called the best budget 5G available at the moment. It’s the most for your money, priced at just under £400 if you’re buying direct and SIM-free. Though some features have been cut to make this price possible, such as waterproofing and wireless charging, it’s still a great phone. The display of 6.53 inches is large, vivid and bright, as well as there being a decent camera and processor.

  1. Huawei Mate 20 X 5G

The substantial Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is sure to impress with its massive 7.2 inch screen. This 5G phone has a triple rear camera with a 3x optical zoom and a massive 4,200mAh battery. Its huge display might mean it’s too big for those with smaller hands, but the fact it’s been out for a while could mean some decent prices are available.
