The Upcoming is offering one 4K Blu-ray copy of Cinema Paradiso directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, which is available on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download from 7th December.

Tornatore’s Cinema Paradiso has been heralded as a loving homage to cinema. The film is centred around Salvatore, a successful film director, who returns home to his Sicilian-village to attend the funeral of an old friend Alfredo. The event prompts the protagonist to reminisce on the highs and lows of his childhood and young adult life 30 years previously, including his first love affair with the lovely Elena.

Cinema Paradiso has won several awards across the globe, such as Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, 5 BAFTA Awards (including Best Actor, Original Screenplay and Score), the Grand Prize of the Jury at the Cannes Film Festival and many more. This spectacular classic is presented here for the first time on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray, along with the expanded Director’s Cut, which reveals more about Salvatore’s backstory.
