What does the future of the gaming industry look like? What feeling does a gamer get when first holding the Playstation5 or Xbox series X. A careful observation will make clear that there is a bright future for this industry. The gaming industry is expected to have a statistical worth of about $300 billion by 2025. What this means is that technological advancement is the major driving force that is pushing gaming experiences to the next level in the nearest future.

Alexander Nereng, a lead expert here, talks about the future gaming trends to look out for. Developers like Nintendo will continue to be an innovation in the gaming space offering something different from Sony and Microsoft Corporation. Also, with the accessibility of Nintendo Switch in smartphones, the competition among these companies has never been this interesting.

Another area that is making rounds in the gaming world is the use of cloud gaming. Cloud gaming is going to take a major role in the future with Norwegian game development companies such as Alpha systems, Mobiloitte, Megapop Games working on the adoption of this technology into their latest games. It would allow gamers to be able to play a game with a device and continue from another through their game saves in the cloud.

Improvements have been made also in cross platform play where gamers using consoles like Playstation and Xbox can stream games to a PC. Extended reality will continue offering more functionality. Also virtual reality would be made with more improvements. Better graphics, more interaction among gamers and also the advent of the 5G network will reduce latency in live games especially in competitions. All this is what the future of gaming holds and it’s expected to only get better and better as the years pass by. Here are some of the new developments unfolding in this industry.

Apple Arcade

This is Apple’s gaming service based on subscription with a charge of about $7 per month. Access is granted to thousands of mobile games on smartphone and Apple TV.

Google Stadia

Google stadia gives access to play games via Google chrome browser. It is a cloud based gaming service offered by Google where it allows gamers to play their favourite games from Google’s web browser.

New features for game consoles

Already everyone wants to play their favourite games with the Xbox series X and Playstation5. What is the next generation of consoles like? The will offer faster processors, better graphics (4K graphics). Also, old generation classic games are being brought by developers with better graphics and game play mode.

Virtual reality (VR)

Oculus Quest and Playstation VR have shown that the gaming experiences can get even more immersive and exciting. Virtual reality games are gradually increasing and becoming popular. Also augmented reality is influencing the gaming industry and even the online gambling sector is not left out. The feeling of playing in a live casino like Norwegian betting sider from home with some gadgets and wearable would definitely be amazing.

Expect a better command experience

Two of the biggest gaming sensations for the past five years have been Fortnite and Pokemon Go. It has gathered a lot of people through its interactive community with more than 50 million active users. So the future of gaming also involves the gaming community and social interaction amongst game lovers.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

AI is already being incorporated massively into gaming although the current nature and design of games keeps it constrained. Even in online gambling, AI is still used by online casinos as live bots that are available to respond 24/7. This means that AI is cutting across all aspects of gaming including online gambling and is expected to greatly affect the future of gambling industry.
