The Upcoming is offering a DVD bundle of House of Sand and Fog, Away From Her and Young Adam which are all available digitally on demand and on DVD from 1st February by Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment.

House of Sand and Fog is a 2003 American psychological drama directed by Vadim Perelman and based on the novel of the same name by Andre Dubus III. The plot follows Kathy (Jennifer Connelly) – a recovering drug addict who has been abandoned by her husband – as she is erroneously evicted from her small house in the San Francisco Bay area. When Iranian businessman Behrani (Ben Kingsley) purchases the home for a quarter of its price at an auction for himself and his family, Kathy begins relentlessly harassing him.

Away From Her is a 2006 Canadian independent drama directed by Sarah Polley. The film depicts the story of married couple Fiona (Julie Christie) and Grant (Gordon Pinsent) as they struggle to deal with the former’s development of Alzheimer’s. A touching exploration of the effects of the disease, the feature is tenderly complemented by poignant performances from Christie and Pinsent.

Young Adam is a 2003 British drama directed by David McKenzie, starring Ewan McGregor, Tilda Swinton and Emily Mortimer. Set in 1954 Scotland, the narrative traces the life of young drifter Joe Taylor (McGregor) who works on a barge between Edinburgh and Glasgow. One day when the protagonist and his boss pull the naked body of a young woman from the water, the audience learns of Joe’s flickering relationships and chequered past.
