Firezza celebrates 20th birthday by giving away free pizza across London on 1st April

This is no April Fools’ joke, Firezza, the renowned pizza group who deliver proper authentic Italian pizzas, are celebrating their 20th anniversary giving away free pizza for 20 minutes on 1st April at 6pm at all 19 sites across the UK, and will also bring back their original menu from 2001 for a whole month.

Having first opened two decades ago in Battersea following a 1999 trip to Naples, the Firezza team wanted to bring proper authentic Italian pizzas back to London. Fast forward 20 years and Firezza has 19 sites and counting, most recently having opened in Streatham in January 2021.

To celebrate the occasion, Firezza will serve not only the items from their original menu but also the 2001 pricing, which will be available to order and collect from April until May.

Each Firezza pizza is made to order with a soft floury dough base shaped into the iconic rectangular shape, before being topped with fresh ingredients and cooked in Firezza stone-baked ovens. Perfect for sharing, the menu consists over of 22 different topping combinations on a quarter or half-metre base. Flavour combinations coming back for the 20th anniversary include the Piccante, with nduja, pepperoni, fresh basil, red chilli and tomato; and mozzarella and the Tutta Bufala, with fiery buffalo salami, buffalo mozzarella DOP, tomato and fresh basil.

“We would like to thank every single customer who has been with us on this incredible journey. For 20 years Firezza has been providing the freshest and finest ingredients available and will hopefully continue this for many more years to come,” says Firezza management.
