Arros QD to launch Valencia-inspired bar Albufera in Fitzrovia

Arros QD, the renowned restaurant celebrated for its wood-fired Spanish paella, is set to launch Albufera bar on 29th April, an immersive sensory experience that will captivate guests with a combination of outstanding cocktails, intricate bar snacks and striking decor, adding a new dimension to Fitzrovia’s nightlife.

Established as a sister brand to Arros QD, Albufera is inspired by the beauty and flavours of the coastal region of Valencia, known for its stunning wetlands, rice fields and vast lagoon.. The team aims to showcase the diversity and quality of Spanish produce, from food and drinks to interior design, while providing guests with an unforgettable experience.

Curated by legendary chef Quique Dacosta, Arros QD has earned a reputation for its paella and wood-fired cooking. The restaurant is the first in Europe outside of Spain (and one of 33 worldwide) to receive the prestigious “Cullera de Fusta” award for paella.

Abel Abreah, a renowned mixologist with over 17 years of experience, will be the creative force behind the bar’s innovative cocktails. Abreah’s menu will embody the core ethos of Arros QD by incorporating elements such as wood, fire, and smoke, which will add a touch of experiential theatre and showcase the synergy between the two brands. The bar will target patrons seeking more than just an after-work drink and it will feature music from up-and-coming DJs celebrating both Spanish and British culture.

Signature cocktails at Albufera are designed to tantalise the senses, with highlights including La Perla, Bonavida, Velvet Old Fashioned, Valenciana, Oaxaca and Resposado. These unique concoctions will feature ingredients such as Konik’s Tail Vodka, Chambord, Gin Mare, Woodford Reserve Bourbon and Pensador Mezcal.

The drinks menu will be complemented by a carefully curated selection of bar snacks from Dacosta. Guests can indulge in Red Scallop Panipuri, Pork Bao, Avalon Foam and Putanesca Rice Pizza, among other culinary delights.

As Albufera prepares to open its doors, the neighbourhood of Fitzrovia can look forward to a new sensory drinking experience that will surely become a local favourite.
