On 16th May, The London Palladium will witness a rare gathering of songwriting legends and rising stars, as The Other Songs and The Ivors Academy come together for a night celebrating the art of songwriting. The event takes place during Ivors Week and just two days before the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards.

This extraordinary musical experience will feature performances from iconic composers such as Andrew Lloyd Webber, A R Rahman, Fraser T Smith, Jimmy Napes and Dave Stewart, among others. In a rare treat, attendees will enjoy the first performance of Webber’s Coronation anthem Make a Joyful Noise, delivered by the famed composer himself.

Hosted by Alastair Webber, co-founder of The Other Songs, the event will also include interviews with Ivor Novello, Academy Award, Grammy and Brit winners, as well as promising young artists from The BRIT School. Through this unique blend of performances and industry insights, the evening aims to celebrate the greatest living songwriters and provide a platform for emerging talents.

The proceeds will be donated to The BRIT School and The Ivors Academy Trust, supporting the development of future songwriters and artists from diverse backgrounds. Alastair Webber expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with The Ivors Academy “who share our vision to create the largest performance platform for songwriters on the planet.”

Graham Davies, chief executive of The Ivors Academy, echoed this excitement, stating that the event “is one of the best ways possible to pay tribute to all songwriters. It’s going to be special, so get a ticket while you can.”

This unforgettable celebration of songwriting at The London Palladium is set to be a night to remember for music enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. Tickets are available for purchase now, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to witness a gathering of legendary and emerging songwriters in an intimate setting.
