“I just felt like it was written for me”: Noomi Rapace, Jonathan Banks, James D’Arcy, William Catlett, Peter Harness and Michelle Maclaren on Constellation

Constellation is a new eight-part psychological thriller series created by Peter Harness and set in outer space aboard the International Space Station. A small team of trained astronauts with a mission in orbit are put in danger, fighting for their lives when disaster strikes as an unexpected object hits the side of their spacecraft causing irreparable damage.

Noomie Rapace stars as one of the onboard astronauts called Jo. She’s a wife, mother and part of the dedicated crew. As she risks her life to return safely to Earth, she soon finds that things have changed and parts of her life are distorted and missing. Her quest to find answers and uncover truths brings her to the edge in this tense action-packed series, in which the secrets and mysteries of interstellar space slowly unfurl.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to the stars and creators about the show. Rapace and Jonathan Banks about what drew them to the project, how fitting it felt to take on their roles and what it was like being part of an action-packed story about space.

James D’Arcy and William Catlett spoke to us about their storylines on the show, how they prepared for their individual roles in this series and working with such a brilliant ensemble cast.

 

Creator Peter Harness and director and executive producer Michelle Maclaren talked to us about the idea behind the project and the inspiration that drove this story. They also spoke avidly about the casting process, who they already had in mind, and the authenticity they were looking.
