Fords Gin and The Ned London join forces for a martinis and oysters takeover

Fords Gin has teamed up with The Ned London to host the Fords Gin Martinis & Oysters Takeover. The pairing experience, an unmissable opportunity for both London’s cocktail aficionados and oysters lovers, will be held at The Library Bar, within the prestigious location of The Ned, from May 1st to May 31st, welcoming guests each Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm until late.

The Library Bar, typically exclusive to members of The Ned, will open its doors to the public for the duration of the event, offering an exquisite menu of three specially crafted martinis made with Fords Gin, accompanied by a selection of freshly sourced oysters. This initiative provides a rare opportunity for non-members to enjoy the luxurious ambience of one of London’s most intimate bars located at 27 Poultry, London EC2R 8AJ.

Fords Gin, distilled in London at Thames Distillers, is the brainchild of gin expert Simon Ford and 11th generation master distiller Charles Maxwell. It represents a modern interpretation of the classic London Dry Gin, boasting a balanced mix of juniper, coriander seeds, citrus, and a carefully selected assortment of botanicals. This event not only highlights the gin’s versatility and appeal but also its London heritage.

Each martini at the event is priced at £18, while oysters will be available at £11 for a quarter dozen, £22 for half a dozen, and £39 for a full dozen. An added treat on Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm throughout May will see guests who buy two Fords Gin Martinis receive two complimentary oysters, making for an ideal after-work or leisurely evening indulgence.

The Ned London, a creation by Soho House Founder Nick Jones, is a landmark institution situated in the former Midland Bank headquarters, designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924. The venue blends historic grandeur with contemporary comfort and style, spanning ten restaurants, 250 bedrooms, a range of private events spaces, and the members-only Ned’s Club.
