Circe’s Waterloo Rooftop is set to offer Mediterranean vibes and panoramic views

Circe’s Waterloo Rooftop is set to open its doors on Friday, 24th May, just ahead of the Spring Bank Holiday. This new 550-capacity venue, which takes over the former Bar Elba site, is inspired by the enchanting mythology of Circe, the daughter of the sun god Helios. Perched atop Mercury House in Waterloo, Circe’s promises a blend of Mediterranean flavours, live entertainment, and panoramic views of London’s skyline, offering an all-year-round sunset paradise.

The concept behind Circe’s Waterloo Rooftop is to create an escape that melds the vibrancy of Mediterranean culture with the pulse of the city’s nightlife. The venue’s opening anticipates an array of events that include brunches, DJ sets, and live music performances. From the get-go, guests can look forward to the Oh My Gods! Bottomless Brunch starting June 1st, alongside a schedule packed with rooftop revelry.

Highlights from the bar’s drink menu include the Perse’s Picante, a spicy margarita homage to Circe’s mythical mother, and a variety of frozen cocktails, spritzes, in addition to an extensive selection of premium spirits and wines. On the food front, offerings range from Bashed Cucumbers with apricot harissa, toasted sesame, coriander and a coconut yoghurt dressing, to a Vegan Beef Smash Burger, with mustard, ketchup, pickles, lettuce and burger sauce.

Circe’s also caters to private events, with two designated areas capable of hosting 80 – 100 people, making it an ideal spot for summer parties, gatherings, and corporate receptions. The entire venue can also be booked for larger, semi-exclusive or exclusive events, accommodating up to 550 guests.

The establishment is the brainchild of Tobias Jackson, former co-founder of the Adventure Bar Group and pioneer of Bar Elba. Jackson, alongside Lee Ramskill, who brings his expertise from managing renowned bar chains and curating cultural programmes, aims to create an unforgettable experience high above the hustle and bustle of Waterloo.

To mark the opening, Circe’s is offering guests signing up to their mailing list a complimentary cocktail. For those eager to experience the latest Waterloo summer venture, bookings for events, including viewings of the Euro 2024 games, are now open.
