Ferran Adrià to open inaugural edition of food congress Gastromasa in London

London is set to host the first UK edition of food conference Gastromasa at Olympia West on 28th-29th May. With Inspiration as its central theme, the event assembles some of the world’s best chefs including Ferran Adrià, Ana Roš, Clare Smyth and Franco Pepe, among others. This convention offers a platform for the exchange of ideas and trends within the global gastronomy community.

Gastromasa has established itself as a key event in the culinary calendar, seeking to bridge the gap between countries and their culinary traditions, fostering dialogue and innovation in gastronomy. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with world-famous chefs, hear their stories, and gain insights into the latest trends and topics in the food industry.

The conference will feature a lineup of speakers that reads like a who’s who of the culinary world, including Dabiz Muñoz, Matt Abé and Jordi Roca, alongside other eminent professionals from the gastronomy sector. The event will also welcome gastronomy professionals, mixologists, opinion leaders and members of the press, providing a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration.

Gökmen Sözen, founder of Sozen Group and Gastromasa, expressed his pride in seeing the Gastromasa brand achieve global recognition: “I started my gastronomy journey 26 years ago. Gastromasa, as a Turkish brand, has become one of the most important players in the world. I can clearly say that it is the most important congress brand in the world. Leading chefs, investors, restaurant professionals and international media from many countries have closely followed Gastromasa for ten years.” He highlighted London’s significance as the world’s most important gastronomy hub, noting its diverse range of world cuisines as a key factor in choosing the city as the conference’s location. Sözen also articulated his ambition to further expand Gastromasa’s footprint in London through workshops, demos, tastings and exhibitions, while continuing to promote Turkey’s culinary heritage on the world stage.

Gastromasa not only serves as a testament to London’s prominent position in the global gastronomy scene but also highlights the ongoing efforts to foster innovation and collaboration within the culinary arts.
