Celebrated French patisserie Ladurée has teamed up with French illustrator and designer Marin Montagut to launch a limited-edition collection of gift boxes that exemplify French artistry and gastronomy. This collaboration, available for purchase this autumn, merges the brand’s iconic culinary delights with Montagut’s enchanting Parisian-inspired illustrations.

The collection features two types of gift boxes, each designed with a theme reflective of French culture and aesthetics. The first, priced at £45.00, is the Ladurée X Marin Montagut 16 Macaron Gift Box. The box draws inspiration from 18th-century secret books that concealed treasures, a concept reimagined by Montagut. It is adorned with an illustration of a Jardin du Luxembourg chair and contains 16 macarons in a variety of flavours, among which caramel, lime ginger, raspberry, and orange blossom, just some of the artist’s favourites.

The second offering is the Ladurée X Marin Montagut 12 Eugénie Gift Box, retailing for £38.00. The box features a nostalgic design with watercolours of brushes, pencils, and paint tubes, reminiscent of the excitement and creativity associated with the start of a school year. Inside, it houses 12 of Ladurée’s gourmet treats, intended to encourage the inner artist in every patron.

“Working with Ladurée, the inventor of the French tearoom, was an obvious choice!” explains Montagut. “Creating these two gift boxes was a true honour. I had a lot of fun reinterpreting Ladurée’s wonderful world through the poetry of my brushes and watercolours.”

Marin Montagut’s contribution to the collection extends beyond mere design; his artwork captures the essence of Paris, from its timeless streets to the refined art of its patisseries. This collaboration not only pays homage to the City of Light but also celebrates the craftsmanship, culture, and simple joy of indulging in life’s finest pleasures.
