Paramount has released the official trailer for Vicious, a new psychological horror feature written and directed by Bryan Bertino (The Strangers), starring Dakota Fanning in the lead role. The film is set to arrive on Paramount+ and digital platforms on 10th October 2025.

Fanning plays Polly, a woman who receives a mysterious box late at night along with cryptic instructions to place inside it something she needs, something she hates, and something she loves. What begins as a seemingly surreal ritual quickly spirals into a nightmarish psychological ordeal. As Polly becomes trapped in an uncanny world where time fractures and reality becomes distorted, she must confront personal trauma and terrifying choices before it’s too late.

The supporting cast includes Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Devyn Nekoda, Klea Scott and Emily Mitchell. The film is produced by Richard Suckle and Bryan Bertino, with Melinda Whitaker and Shane Boucher serving as executive producers.

Vicious marks Bertino’s return to the genre following his work on The Monster and The Dark and the Wicked, and looks to continue his exploration of grief and fear through a surreal and unsettling lens.
