SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden teams up with Veuve Clicquot for summer terrace
SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden has partnered with the champagne house Veuve Clicquot to open the Sun Club Terrace, an outdoor dining space in the London venue’s piazza that will operate daily throughout the summer season. The restaurant, located at 35 The Market Building in Covent Garden, opens the terrace from midday until 11pm each day, offering a menu of cocktails, signature dishes and Veuve Clicquot champagne.
The terrace has been designed around Veuve Clicquot’s yellow branding, with a colour scheme of yellow and white stripes set against greenery. The space is intended for both daytime and evening use, catering to lunches, aperitifs and sunset drinks.
The collaboration centres on champagne, with guests able to order serves featuring Veuve Clicquot RICH and RICH Rosé cuvées, as well as pairings of champagne with the restaurant’s taquito dishes. Three pairings are available: crispy yellowtail taquitos with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label at £40; crispy lobster taquitos with Veuve Clicquot Rosé at £45; and crispy tuna taquitos with Veuve Clicquot RICH at £50.
A limited-edition cocktail menu has been created for the partnership. Among the drinks are the Samba Soleil (£18), made with Veuve Clicquot RICH, Allora Aperitivo, vanilla, lemon and plum bitters; and the Jasmine Whisper (£19), which combines Belvedere vodka, Saicho jasmine sparkling tea, pineapple oleo saccharum, lime and vanilla. Other options include the Sakura Cooler (£18), featuring Volcán de Mi Tierra Blanco tequila, Mancino Sakura vermouth, cherry, vanilla and lime topped with grapefruit soda, and the Frozen Paloma (£11).
Two non-alcoholic drinks are also listed: the Mint Condition (£12), made with Everleaf Forest, mint cordial and apple; and the Golden Hour (£12), a blend of apple juice, orgeat cordial, ginger and yuzu. These sit alongside SUSHISAMBA’s standard menu, which is served throughout the summer period.
SUSHISAMBA describes its cuisine as a combination of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian influences, with menus mixing local and signature dishes. Alongside food, the restaurant offers specialty cocktails, cultural spirits including Japanese whisky and sake, and a selection of wine and champagne. The group operates venues across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia.
