Netflix unveils Ripley starring Andrew Scott, a tale of deceit and danger set for April release

Netflix is set to release an eight-episode series titled Ripley on 4th April 2024, featuring Andrew Scott as the titular character, Tom Ripley. The series, based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling novels, follows the story of Ripley, a small-time New Yorker con artist of the early 1960s. He is commissioned by a wealthy man to travel to Italy and persuade his wayward son to return to America, a task that plunges him into a world of deceit, fraud and murder. The teaser trailer is now available to watch, providing a glimpse into the high-stakes drama that awaits viewers.

The show boasts a star-studded cast, including Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood and Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf, and is both written and directed by Steven Zaillian, with Scott also contributing as a producer.
