Prime Video has confirmed that the new Indian series Citadel: Honey Bunny will premiere globally on 7th November 2024. The series, which stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha, is a spin-off from the successful international series Citadel. Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, and produced by D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, the show promises to blend action and drama with a nostalgic 90s backdrop.

The announcement was made during a vibrant fan event in Mumbai, attended by the show’s stars and directors, where a teaser trailer was also unveiled. The teaser highlighted the series’ action sequences and rich visual narrative, aiming to engage the global audience with its dynamic storytelling and performances.

Raj & DK, the directors of the series, expressed their excitement about the project: “Citadel: Honey Bunny is a swashbuckling blend of gritty, fast-paced action and compelling drama with exceptional performances. We are excited to introduce Varun as an edgy action hero, and Samantha has upped her action game to the next level. We are also thrilled to have joined with the powerhouse Kay Kay Menon once again and are lucky to have an incredible cast.”

The series also features Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar and Kashvi Majmundar, and is set to explore the origins of an international spy agency, delving into its foundation and rise.

Citadel: Honey Bunny will be available on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
