Keira Knightley leads Netflix’s psychological thriller The Woman in Cabin 10, launching 10th October

Netflix has unveiled a first look at The Woman in Cabin 10, the highly anticipated adaptation of Ruth Ware’s bestselling novel, set to premiere globally on Friday 10th October 2025.

Starring Keira Knightley in the lead role, the thriller follows a travel journalist whose dream assignment aboard a luxurious yacht takes a dark turn when she witnesses a woman being thrown overboard in the dead of night. When the crew insists that no one is missing and all passengers are accounted for, she’s left gaslighted and isolated – but undeterred. As she digs deeper, her search for the truth begins to unravel a sinister web of secrets and puts her own life at risk.

Directed by Simon Stone, the film is penned by Joe Shrapnel, Anna Waterhouse and Stone himself. The cast features an impressive ensemble including Guy Pearce, David Ajala, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, David Morrissey, Daniel Ings and Hannah Waddingham. Additional cast members include Gitte Witt, Christopher Rygh, Pippa Bennett-Warner, John MacMillan, Paul Kaye, Amanda Collin and Lisa Loven Kongsli.

Produced by Debra Hayward and Ilda Diffley, the film promises to bring a fresh cinematic lens to Ware’s gripping, claustrophobic mystery. With a storyline steeped in paranoia, isolation, and the dangers of truth-seeking in a closed environment, The Woman in Cabin 10 is poised to be a tense and atmospheric ride.

The Woman in Cabin 10 joins Netflix’s growing lineup of high-stakes thrillers, combining star power, literary pedigree and nail-biting suspense into one compelling feature set against the backdrop of open water and opulent deception.
