Yellowjackets sets November return for its fourth and final season
The wilderness is calling one last time as Yellowjackets prepares to return for its fourth and final season this November, bringing the survival drama’s dual timelines towards their conclusion.
The new season finds the survivors racing to conceal their actions before rescue finally arrives, while events in the present are complicated by the return of an old flame with plans of her own. Paramount+ has also released the first teaser for the final chapter, which promises to bring the consequences of the group’s past increasingly close to home.
Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci and Tawny Cypress return alongside Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sondaya and Jenna Burgess. Two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank also returns for the final season.
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets began with a high-school girls’ football team surviving a plane crash in the remote wilderness, following both their increasingly brutal fight for survival and the lives they attempt to rebuild almost 25 years later. Lyle and Nickerson return as showrunners and executive producers for the concluding season.
After three seasons moving between what happened in the wilderness and the secrets its survivors carried into adulthood, the final run has an increasingly narrow gap left to fill: how the teenagers eventually made it home, and what remains unresolved decades later.
