Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz get tangled up at sea in Day Drinker

Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz are heading out on the water for Day Drinker, a new thriller arriving in cinemas next March.

The film follows a bartender working aboard a private yacht, played by Outer Banks star Cline, whose routine is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious guest, played by Depp. Before long, the pair find themselves drawn into the orbit of a criminal figure played by Cruz, with unexpected connections between the three beginning to emerge.

The newly released teaser offers the first proper look at the film and its yacht-set mystery, while keeping much of the story under wraps.

Day Drinker is directed by Marc Webb, whose credits include 500 Days of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man, from a screenplay by Zach Dean.

The film brings Depp and Cruz back together on screen, while giving Cline a central role alongside the two established stars.

With a luxury setting, a mysterious stranger and a criminal element thrown into the mix, Day Drinker looks set to turn a seemingly glamorous voyage into something considerably more dangerous.
