Who’s Stolen your jewellery Thunder?

Who’s Stolen your jewellery Thunder?

What do you get if you cross vintage-inspired charms with an eclectic mix of quirky designs? You get independent jewellery boutique Stolen Thunder, an online treasure chest bursting with decadent, gold-dipped pieces ranging from the 1950s to the 1980s, and all designed within the UK.

So whether you’re a second-hand magpie, an eco-friendly recycler or an avid jewellery accessoriser, Stolen Thunder will have an unusually ornate piece to suit your style.

Half way into the first month of the New Year (how time is flying by already!) and the words passing most acquaintances’ lips are, “Have you managed to keep your resolutions up so far?” With so many people bidding to quit the booze in January, it isn’t too surprising that many of us fall at the first hurdle as soon as the January blues set in. So why not display your affection for the odd tipple (ahem…) with this ever-so cute “I Love Gin” necklace, £19, made from bamboo wood? Quirky and unusual, this piece really will be a conversational starter – wear it loud and proud; who needs resolutions anyway?

Check out these completely kitsch earrings, £10, also from their collection. The cross-stitch style love hearts make for an utterly vintage feel whilst the roundness of the bamboo wood screams 50s iconic glamour – a big trend from the SS12 catwalks! I’ll be wearing mine with a high-collared shift dress and Mary Jane shoes – utterly fabulous!

If you’re channelling the nautical theme that becomes popular at this time of year then you have to add this iconic anchor motif brooch, £12, to your shopping list. Beautifully hand-carved, add yours to a striped blazer or navy knit jumper to ‘sail’ your style through to the new season – ahoy there trendsetter!

If you’re more kooky than a fashion follower, then this is the necklace for you. What could be more adorable and considerably cool than this kite-flying piece, £23, from Stolen Thunder? Team with a basic jersey tee by day and an LBD by night to allow this stunning piece to take you up-up-up and away in the style stakes.

We’ve seen so many unusual motifs within jewellery ranges on the high street but I have yet to come across a Russian doll. That’s why I love Stolen Thunder’s take on a classic ornamental piece, £6, as its quirkiness is conversational and the little doll face can accompany you wherever you may venture – check them out now by clicking here.
