Fans of the Yves Saint Laurent Beauty and Fragrances page on Facebook are in for an exclusive treat as the brand are launching a new colour palette, available on the social networking site only.

In collaboration with Pantone and Facebook, YSL are launching a limited edition line of cosmetics, named Devoted to Fans, with the first product to launch being the Devoted to Fans #1 colour palette – be warned, though, only 1,650 fans will be able to get their hands on this uber-exclusive item.

According to YSL’s marketing and digital director Carla de Préval, the Devoted to Fans product line is YSL’s method of ensuring “a complete and global vision of digital – to separate [the brand] from a completely internet-orientated vision and to really digitalise all points of contact”.

Damien Vincent, commercial director of Facebook France, said: “This is a fitting tribute to a vibrant and passionate demonstration that Yves Saint Laurent is a modern and dynamic brand with consumers knowing the heart of its marketing strategy.”

Lucky and quick-off-the-mark fans will also receive exclusive privileges and services, available through their Facebook feed and in-store.  The palette launched on 19th July, and is priced at £39.

The high quality packaging is typically YSL – with luxurious gold detailing and a gorgeous blue cover, a nod to Facebook. The Facebook-inspired palette features an eyeshadow quad consisting of amazing colours, including a Facebook-esque blue, black, white and grey, suitable for creating daytime neutral eyes as well as a vampier, smokey eye for a night out.

What do you think of YSL’s Facebook inspired eyeshadows? You can’t deny its clever marketing. YSL has over 350,000 fans, so with only 1,650 palettes available in total, you’d better be quick – so if you’re not already a fan of the YSL page, click that “Like” button and snap one up now – hurry!
