The future’s not orange – it’s Xen-Tan

The future’s not orange – it’s Xen-Tan

To tan or not to tan, the question is – is that shade right for you? A touch of tanning lotion in your body cream might be enough for a lot of pale skins but when you’ve applied a few layers and find it’s not enough, it’s time to rethink.

Made in America, Xen-Tan was created by a group of tanning devotees and has gone on to win an impressive 17 beauty awards for Best Self-tan between 2010 and 2011 from publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Woman & Home and others.

You would be forgiven for thinking they only supply tans that range from clay pot to deep mahogany, but Xen-Tan pride themselves on being accessible for all skin shades. This is demonstrated in their Transform collection, which offers light, medium and dark shades that don’t make you shriek when you see the results, and best of all it smells pleasant on application.

One of Xen-Tan’s latest award winners combines instant colour with a tanning developer so you can customise your shade. Perfect Blend’s secret is in the dual chamber that holds two separate tan formulas designed to work together: self-tan on one side and instant bronzer with a subtle shimmer on the other. This allows you to enhance the contours of your skin. Simply twist the top left or right for more or less of either product. Perfect Blend gives you the exact shade of tan you require for different occasions, without having to worry about whether it might be too dark, or not dark enough.

So when that winter vacation calls or you have to get the pins out last minute, this brand offers the solution.

Transform £15.99 and Perfect Blend £34.99. Available at salons nationwide and from the website here.
