Handmade jewellery is now as increasingly popular as buying ready-made pieces on the high street. People tend to flock towards shops like Etsy and Folksy to find quirky, handmade pieces, knowing that there probably won’t be many other people wearing that same piece as them which makes it feel exclusive.

Here at The Upcoming, we particularly love this Etsy shop, named Jammer Jewelry. They sell a collection of artisan handmade jewellery designs by a designer name RS Wilson.

From browsing their online store, you may notice their products mainly include the use of copper and turquoise, combining this with other materials and the use of inlaying materials onto the copper or bronze. The designs also have a very pretty, subtle tribal and Aztec theme which looks really classy and is completely on trend. Image 1

We especially love this inlaid cuff which brings together the tribal and Aztec theme really well. With its hammered golden cuff, it would really make a statement and with its beautiful inlaid detail, it really does stand out! The inlaid detail has been created using turquoise, lapis, malachite, spiney oyster shell and purple onyx which makes it feel really unique also knowing no two bracelets would look the same. Image 2

These gorgeous beaded earrings have beautiful detail on the main section but then have a beautiful staggered beaded drop which really pulls the look together. These earrings would make the perfect gift, or look perfect with a plain outfit to really jazz things up! Image 3

Another great item from Jammer Jewelry is these stunning Hummingbird earrings which have been delicately inlaid with turquoise. These cute earrings would be the perfect gift for someone special and the design shows off just how well these have been made.

Jewellery that is handmade has much more of a personal feel and it really does feel as though you have a unique piece and you know every single item – no matter how many produced – and tends to look that slight bit different. It definitely provides more of a conversation starter than a generic, mass-produced piece of jewellery from a high-street chain!
