Ochre Blue: bags for every occasion

Sometimes it can be hard to find a handbag – not hard to find a handbag that you want – obviously that’s really easy, but hard to find a handbag that you desire and that is not only affordable but well made.

You get stuck between lusting after the fabulous designer bags that you can’t afford and turning your nose up at poorly made high street substitutes. That’s when you need a brand that can bring you the luxe appeal and handcrafted finish of the designer brands within your budget. That’s when you need to know about Ochre Blue.

Now in their fourth season, Ochre Blue is an independent collection of leather accessories inspired by artisanal craftsmanship, cultural traditions and the contemporary woman. With design director Natalie Bolton at the helm, the brand has been steered towards Ochre Blue’s original principal of creating luxurious but affordable handbags. The creative team shares a love of exotic cultures and a desire to create practical yet stylish leather accessories, both of which shine through in their offerings.

Currently stocked in a variety of stores from Fenwicks in North London’s Brent Cross to South London’s Greenwich Market, Ochre Blue seems to be emerging as a go to accessories brand for women from all walks of life. The ‘Davina’ is a beautiful tan leather shoulder bag, which would be ideal for work: roomy enough to get your paperwork and lunch in, yet with enough structure to keep it all safe, and the ‘Dylan’ is a large tote with a punch-out detail on the side panels; perfect for a day out shopping or a casual date. It would seem that Ochre Blue has a bag for every occasion.

This is what they have to say about Spring/Summer ’13: Ochre Blue S/S’13 is all about contradictions, an inspiring mix of cool, calm nature combined with vibrant markets from around the world. With a colour palette to match, this collection is awash with gorgeous colours from olive, tan and harvest to vibrant splashes of ember and orange. With timeless silhouettes and our signature leather detailing this season’s bags are the perfect accessories for a life full of adventures.
