Daniel Palillo A/W 2013: The Wasted Youth collection

Daniel Palillo A/W 2013: The Wasted Youth collection

This season Daniel Palillo presents his latest collection titled, The Wasted Youth. This suggests that his collection screams out the rebelliousness of the youth.

The designer was influenced by his own freshman year, when the students hijacked the school radio with their songs that were aired in the corridors and classrooms of the university.

The nineties have been an influence in Daniel Palillo’s designs. The collection reflects the ups and downs of the adolescent life that is highlighted in his separates.

The Wasted Youth is the perfect name for this collection as each individual piece is one of a kind. The collection is great for nerds, Goth, rebels, losers, jocks and cheerleaders.  The full arrays of university students are in this collection, making it accessible for all students.

You will expect to see a colour palette that primarily consists of black with dashes of vibrant red, royal blue, white, grey, yellow and green – making this a collection to remember.

This unique collection has expressive and avant-garde inspired separates. This autumn/winter collection is full of daring hoodies, shapeless dresses, fleeces, joggers, cheerleader outfits and t-shirts. These separates are adorned with eccentric prints, bold prints, zippers and colourful designs.

You will be excited to see larger baggy shapeless clothes that can easily be accessorised with belts, hats and jewellery. Jewellery pieces that are made out of metal or are bronze-coloured will complement your outfits. Or you can create an interesting contrast with jewellery that’s colourful. These designs can also be easily worn without accessories as the designs speak for themselves. You can choose to dress it up or dress it down – either way, it’s effective. These separates are perfect to wear as they represent unique individuality.

This collection is not for the light-hearted but for the fashion risk-taker. So are you willing to take a risk?
