The next trend in hair colour
This generation has seen an absolute abundance of unnatural hair colour trends, from the rocket reds all the way through to the lilacs and the candyfloss pinks, with that cheeky Ombre effect living on strong throughout. It’s been a rainbow rollercoaster of ever-changing hair colour trends, but the question is, what is coming for us next?
Aveda’s global artistic director for hair colour, Ian Michael Black, announced at a recent autumn trend and product event that the latest in this colourful journey is going to be apricot! Black mentioned that the classic copper colour has been “pastelised”, in keeping with that aspect of the current look, and that it will be an opportunity for blondes and redheads to gently experiment with each others’ colouring!
The best thing about the arrival of apricot within hair colour is that you can really go for it or just keep it subtle and creamy, like a very warm strawberry blonde. We can’t wait to see this trend hitting the high street this spring!
