When the lovely ladies from Pegasus Beauty invited us to their annual summer showcase, we accepted in an instant. Pegasus are famed for their skills in promoting the best beauty treatments and products the industry has to offer. We would not miss this event – the highlight of our social calendar – for our best friends wedding!

Our idea of heaven is combining champagne, canapés, beauty products and treatments. We frequently have to pinch ourselves to check we’re not dreaming – sampling these delights in the finest of surroundings  actually is our much-loved job.

With a nail bar stocked full of the latest mouth-watering collection cosmetics polishes, HoMedics massage chairs, Manuka doctor bee venom facial station and 20 brands from Trilogy to Witch, all showcasing their soon to be released products, we had to muffle the squeals of delight as we walked through the doors.

With collection cosmetics showcasing several of their planned releases, watch this space for Gothic Glam (September), a collection of deeply pigmented berry, lip and nail colours, wrapped in packaging to rival products three times the price. Does it all mascara (October) for dramatic lashes, a revolutionary five in one formulation that curls, volumises, lengthens, conditions and is long wearing. Our particular favourite was the Deluxe lip collection (September) from the bright and bold statement lip look to the neutral nude; this shade wardrobe really does have it all.

If, like us, you shared the misconception that Witch products were harsh, astringent based and only for oily and blemished complexions, then hot foot it to your local Boots store and re-educate yourselves. This fabulous range has come a long way since their original hero product, the Witch stick. The range very rightly boasts a product for every skin type. With each product containing a varied strength of witch hazel, there really is a product for all of your skincare concerns. Our favourites from the range is the soon to be released mattifying moisturiser (£4.99), for matte, yet hydrated, skin without the taught dry feel. We were all blown away by the primer; a beauty steal at just £6.99 used to keep your skincare products locked in to the skin, make-up in place and skin nasties out. We managed to get the inside scoop: Witch primer is a favourite of many celebrity make-up artists, with such a great price point us mere mortals can also share in their beauty secrets.

Our favourite spot had to be the HoMedics shiatsu massage stations, not only were they situated next to our ultimate all in one face and body moisturiser steam cream,we were also able to receive a fully clothed back massage, targeting our tense shoulders and knotty lower backs with the ease of flicking a switch. We now feel the need for every chair in The Upcoming office to be fitted with a HoMedics gel shiatsu two in one back and shoulder massager. They may not have the effect of making us more productive journalists, but we’d be an office full of serene, relaxed and calm individuals!

We are an office of long term devotees to the power packed steam cream and were reminded of our love for this multi tasking hero product. We saw each one of the ingredients in their raw state. From almonds and rose petals to cocoa butter and orange blossom oil, what amazed us most was the vast range of high performance ingredients that could be squeezed into their ever-changing tin. A journey down memory lane, it brought a smile to our faces as we visited the steam cream tin archives, we also had a sneak preview of exciting new designs, from Halloween to Christmas themed, we loved each and every single one.

As usual Pegasus did not disappoint, surpassing all expectations. The event was a huge success and we feel utterly pampered and refreshed. So watch this space for some inside exclusives on soon to be released products!
