With the temperatures continuing to soar, we ladies at The Upcoming are loving every minute of basking in the sunshine. Our social calendars have never been so packed full, with lunch breaks outside and mid-week barbecues fast becoming the norm. We refuse to complain about this glorious British summer, so follow our guide to ensure you keep your beauty composure during the heat!image2

Eau Thermale Avene spring water spray

This little miracle in a bottle is our new plus one, of which we never leave home without! Instantly cooling, suitable for use on the entire family, soothing and refreshing, all this with the bargain price tag of only £6.50. It’s easy to understand why this delightful fine mist is a firm favourite of celebrities and mere mortals alike.

Each use of the thermal spring water spritz, provides the complexion with an invisible protective and soothing barrier. Its uses include an incredibly effective make-up setting spray, an instant reliever of razor burn, nappy rash or other forms of skin irritation.

To use, simply spray onto the skin whenever you feel in need of a pick-me-up!image3

Witch mattifying moisturiser

If you suffer from an oily complexion, the heat only aggravates this skincare concern, which can often spell misery and blemishes. Witch have risen to the challenge and provided us with our summer skin saviour, their newly released mattifying moisturiser. The ideal treatment for oily to combination complexions, or anyone concerned with an over-glow this summer time, containing an SPF 15, making it the ideal city block and base for the application of make-up.

We’ve been lucky enough to put this product to the test, and have been happily using it for weeks now; it’s kept our skin matte for the entire day, in conditions from clammy London heat to positively Mediterranean temperatures.image1

Australian Bodycare exfoliating body wash

For the ultimate in refreshing showers, reach for Australian Bodycare exfoliating body wash. A powerful combination of tea tree, glycerine and non-abrasive particles offer instant skin cooling.

The deeply hydrating formula is an ideal holiday season shower gel, used to brighten and maintain your summer glow. Whilst gentle exfoliants polish and remove dulling dead skin cells, glycerine offers an intense surge of hydration.image

He-shi dark foaming mouse

If your days are spent staring out an office window at the glorious weather, rather than feeling the heat of the sun on your skin, compete with your friends’ tans the easy way.

Multi award-winning He-shi dark foaming mouse tans upon contact, offering an instant make-up as well as long-lasting tanning results.

We are an office of dedicated self-tanners, preferring to avoid the damaging sun’s rays and opt for a faux tan. He-shi has revolutionised our diaries – our weekly appointment with our spray tanning therapist has now been cancelled!

By far the easiest faux tan formula we have ever had the pleasure of using, we managed to tan our entire bodies in a record five minutes flat. Taking just two minutes for the tan to dry, we had to pinch ourselves – had we really just tanned and dressed in under ten minutes?

Our deep glowing tans lasted almost a week; our skin was left hydrated with none of the usual tight complexion the following morning. We thank you He-shi for saving us precious time and pennies spent at self-tanning salon appointments.
