Original recipe of the week: Super greens detox juice

We don’t condone “fasting” but if you are looking for a detox, which will give you a full-out flush then look no further!

We have the perfect recipe here for a post-bank holiday detox that will get you glowing inside and out after the up-and-coming booze and food-fuelled long weekend.

Simply enjoy two glasses along with one light meal a day over three days and you’re sure to see positive results. Don’t try and sneak that doughnut in when no one’s looking – you will regret it later!

Super greens detox juice

Serves: 1

Prep time: 5-10 minutes

What you will need:

1 bag of spinach or kale
1 green apple
1 pear
Juice of ½ lemon
½ cucumber – peeled and chopped
2 celery sticks – roughly chopped

What you need to do:

1. All you need to do with this is bung all the ingredients together in a juicer. If you haven’t got a juicer, use a food processor and run in through a fine sieve or buy one of the recommended ones.

2. To avoid losing all of the good fibre, add 2 tbsp of the pulp to the juice when you have finished.

3. Finally pour into a glass and chill for about 10 minutes, then enjoy.
