TKTS Christmas Carol Concert in Leicester Square | Live review

The West End Gospel Choir performed all the biggest popular Christmas hits in a frozen Leicester Square yesterday, in front of a chilled but happy audience. From dancing children, pregnant ladies and happy teenagers, to old women, businessmen and couples in love; everyone was at the TKTS Christmas Carol Concert in central London to see the performance of this great gospel choir.

The Choir – made up of a community of performers from the West End music circuit – sang to perfection some brilliant Christmas hits including: All I Want for Christmas is You, Do They Know It’s Christmas, and Baby It’s Cold Outside. They then left the stage to the four elements from the cast of the Beatles musical Let It Be, who performed Here Comes the Sun, Can’t Buy Me Love and a few others by the great British band.

For the finale the choir and the cast joined forces to sing Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon, touching all the spectators in the square. This was an afternoon out for all the family, showcasing some of the best musical talent in the West End, fittingly placed outside the famous TKTS booth at the heart of it all.

Merry Christmas everyone!
