Become an ancient Greek goddess with Barraca Chic’s S/S 2015 collection

Become an ancient Greek goddess with Barraca Chic’s S/S 2015 collection

Barraca Chic made its first debut into the fashion world back in 2012. Established in Switzerland, the brand, which designs unique beachwear for both men and women, has rapidly grown into a much-needed label for luxury holiday wear. This year has seen the Barraca Chic Resort 2015 collection debuted at Miami SWIM week featuring Swarovski embellishments, the finest fabrics and unique silhouettes.  _30A6822

The new collection for the beach this year comes from inspiration of the gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece. Asymmetrical silhouettes and metallic gold rhombus prints are strong and bold in the collection, allowing the somewhat “romance” of the Greeks to be portrayed beautifully. Taking a step back from the tacky traditions of gladiator sandals and sarongs, the new collection is classy and perfect for making the ultimate holiday statement. As for the men’s collection, pieces including low-cut swimming briefs are vibrant, capturing the feel of Greek gods Zeus, Apollo and Poseidon in an array of different shades. Olives and greys were prominent in the collection, giving an added ancient feel to each of the swimwear pieces._30A6811

In addition, the collection also lends itself to some simply stunning accessories. Cashmere and silk pareos with the signature Barraca Chic logo are a particular strong point for this year’s beachwear, adding a touch of glamour to the poolside._30A6722

The launch of the collection saw the likes of Larsa Pippen, Henry Santos and Janice Combs sitting front row.
