What to wear at the airport

What to wear at the airport

We’re here again in August with our suitcases out of the loft and on the scales to make sure we’re utilising all of the spare room. Then the thought strikes, what am I wearing to the airport?! We know it’s a tough one but we have a few tips that will get you right back into that holiday mood.

Comfort vs. chic

Time old argument we know, it’s a tough one. We like to think you can go for both though, try wearing some baggy patterned joggers with a tight black bandeau top, then finish it off with a large rimmed floppy straw hat.

Pack the jeans, wear the jeans?

The dreaded heaviest item, the one we all wish we’re not going to have to wear but pack just in case. They take up room and valuable luggage weight, but will you get too hot wearing them? What time are you flying and where are you going? Cold country/early or late flight then whack ’em on! If not then you may just have to grin and pack it.

Shoes?!

Again, they’re heavy and you don’t want them to be the substitute for your hair products, just try to wear the largest shoes you can without sweltering on the plane.

Make-up

So you’re going to be tired yet you want to look presentable? Okay well go for the minimalist look, it’s all the range now anyway so you’ll look hot on trend, but also there will be little to maintain, so you can just catch up on your beauty sleep.

We hope that these little tips help you on your decision about packing and what you’re wearing on the first exciting day of many from the holiday season!

Happy travelling.
